Grant opportunity to launch a new project with European and Ukrainian partners

Ukraine has a high potential for scientific and technological development and is a priority partner country of the EU within the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP). The BILAT-UKR project, funded by the European Union, is a consortium of 4 European countries (France, Germany, Poland and Romania) and two Ukrainian partners that strive to further enhance the bilateral partnership between Ukraine and the EU by means of concrete initiatives.

We contact you on behalf of the BILAT-UKR project because you have already worked with Ukrainian scientists on bilateral projects and we have new cooperation opportunities to offer you.

The 7th Framework Programme (FP7) for Research and Development of the European Union can help you to set up new multilateral scientific projects with both European and Ukrainian partners. In July 2011, a call in the field of NANOSCIENCES, NANOTECHNOLOGIES, MATERIALS and NEW PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIES (Advanced materials for high-temperature power generation) will be launched with a deadline to send proposals in November 2011.

This is the opportunity for you to participate and to be funded by the EU to launch a multilateral project between you, other European and Ukrainian researchers.

In the frame of BILAT-UKR, we are granting researchers who have FP7 projects ideas to answer this call, who need to meet new European and Ukrainian partners and get together to prepare a proposal.

We offer:
- 15 Grants for European Researchers to go to Ukraine and meet (travel costs)
- 10 Grants for Ukrainian Researchers to meet you and other partners in Ukraine (travel costs)

One or two meetings can be held either or both:
- before October at your convenience
- at the International Conference “Functional Materials-2011” organised in Crimea (Ukraine) on October 3 to 8, 2011. Link to the conference:

Deadline to apply: June 15, 2011 by completing the enclosed expression of interest.
We will answer on the granting decision by June 27, 2011
